Hello there!
I'm Sleepyheadphone.

:bulletblue: :bulletred: :bulletgreen: SOME RANDOM INFORMATION :bulletblue: :bulletred: :bulletgreen:
:bulletblack: I love all kinds of music and specialize myself on illustrating music. That's why a lot of my pictures are related or inspired by music. In most cases, you can find the songs the pictures are linked to in the description.
:bulletblack: The things that inspire me are MUSIC, modern architecture, the sky, nature, big citys, the night, and just everything I see these days ... if I'm lucky, everything can be inspiring
:bulletblack: I'm a bit shy, but feel free to note me if you want something. I like meeting new people! And I love doing ArtTrades!
:bulletblack: I really use the word amazing too much when I comment on pictures
:bulletblack: I want to be a comic artist one day.
Interests
Hey everyone,

hope you're all doing well. Just quickly dropping by to let y'all know that I got a tumblr. I don't know how many of you people were aware of this (probably everybody), but I just wanted to let you know because I posted a lot of stuff on there lately of which I'm not sure if I'm gonna bother to put it on dA. It just doesn't seem worth the drama, especially stacks of multiple pictures are a bit hard to manage on here. Also having multiple social media platforms that I'm active on, I just get tired of posting the same stuff with the same description again and again. Sorry if you're not happy with this, I know I'm pretty inactive on here, but right now, tumblr is a bit more comfortable for me. I hope eventually I will figure out a way of getting more stuff on here, or just start doing more interesting, post worthy stuff. Until then, maybe look for new stuff there.

So yeah, that's my tumblr. In case you're wondering, I use it for pretty much all the art stuff that I don't consider worth posting here, that means scribbles, doodles, replies, practice stuff, little illustrations and other things, I also post a lot of music recommendations and some occasional nonsense on there. Check it out if you like!

And while I'm at it I wanted to do this nice little questionnaire in honor of dA's birthday - because you know how much I love questionnaires. So there's that:

Bullet; Green How long have you been on DeviantArt?

My profile tells me it's been six years. Holy moly! That's a mighty long time (although I've been pretty inactive for at least two of those gosh I'm sorry!).

Bullet; Green Describe yourself in three words.

Creative music nerd.

Bullet; Green Are you left or right handed?

Right handed.

Bullet; Green What was your first deviation?

This sort of misguided Bloc Party fan art. But it also introduced four of my main OCs, and generally marked a point from which on I'd get more into making OCs, so that's a nice point to kick things off I guess?

Silent Alarm by Sleepyheadphone

Bullet; Green What does your username mean?

Sleepyheadphone is a piece of wordplay between the words "sleepyhead" and "headphone", which originated from the fact that music is my main source of inspiration (and always has been, a lot of my art circles around the idea of putting image to sound, so it's almost a mission statement), and the fact that I, well, like to sleep. This song also played a pretty significant role to be honest.
I also always liked the fact that the idea of a sleeping headphone raises the question what sleeping headphones may dream of.

Bullet; Green What is your favourite type of art to create?

I just really like little traditional drawings.

Bullet; Green If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Naturalistic drawing and/or photography. Sadly, I'm not interested enough in the former to completely pursue it, but I can definitely see how it would be very useful. And the latter is just so haard, but I'd really like to be able to do it.

Bullet; Green What was your first favourite?

This wonderful Anubis by Genzoman. I was pretty into interpretations of mythical figures back then … still am to a degree.
Anubis by GENZOMAN

Bullet; Green What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?

I mostly fav-bomb artists whose style really appeals to me. Other than that, it's pretty diverse because I fav for inspiration, for reference, because fan art, because I just like stuff … not really much of a pattern there.

Bullet; Green Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

Oh man that is so hard. There are so many talented people out there, some of them good friends of mine. I do have to say that I really really have a lot of respect for :iconhumon:, who has managed to stay extremely level headed for the amount of popularity she has. Also, her little world has evolved in ways I could never have imagined myself, slow and steady, and always good natured.
I also think :iconoomizuao: deserves a shootout, because she is one of the most passionate and kindest people I've encountered on here … and there's countless others: :iconnadiezda::iconklaufir::iconleppu::iconmoosekleenex::iconshirotsuki::icontracyjb: … the list with amazing artists could go on and on.

Bullet; Green If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

:iconje3: and :iconpeaceboner: THOSE WONDERFUL PEOPLE.

Bullet; Green What are your preferred tools to create art?

Inkbrush, watercolours and some waterproof markers.

Bullet; Green What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

I need to be at home, have all my devices, I need several days of silence and no bothering thoughts, with a few long walks in the countryside … wait, that would be so wonderful that I probably wouldn't even feel the need to create anything anymore. On the other hand, I long for a situation like that where I can just start realizing all these old ideas that are waiting in my head.
I guess other than that, the ideal place is a state of complete wonder and inspiration, often created by music.
I also like CocoRosie's idea of the ugly grey room without windows, a place that is so utterly ugly and depressing that you instinctively surround yourself with colorful thoughts to try and make the situation better.

Bullet; Green What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

That one time I drew a MCR fan art and suddenly had all of those fans in my inbox the net day, about ten times as much as I ever had. That was nice. And of course the countless times when I had a good talk with somebody or discovered an artist that really moved me.

Bullet; Green How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?

I think :iconpeaceboner: has the biggest impact on my life, because I met him on here and have become friends with him … and the amount of impact the many talks and conversations with him and other fellow deviants had is beyond comprehension. Luv you.
Also wanna give a big shoutout to :iconkurisquare: who has been great to talk to and probably has a really, really huge impact on my style (also she's the first fellow Animal Collective fan I encountered, so yay to that!) and :iconcalamitychemist: who made my name change possible and I can not thank her enough for that.

And that's it! Many many shoutouts, I know, it's like a big huge feature parade, but just let me spread the love for a while. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Hope you're all doing well.
Best wishes,
shp

You're very welcome! Actually, I wanted to look through your whole gallery but I haven't gotten a chance to do it yet. I think I'll just watch you so I can keep track and don't forget! :) Keep it up in any case!

Also you have a "Thanks for Faving"-reply-picture, that's RAD.
